On Easter morning when I was 19 years old, I saw the face of Jesus. I was hiking in the mountains in upstate New York and had lay down in the grass to take a break. The intensity of love emanating forth and pure white light shining from Jesus's face is indescribable. The words that came to me were: What is most important in life is love.
At times, I have received, like many others, and you yourself, truth and experiences where the presence of love and the feeling of certainty is extraordinary, healing, humbling and expanding. I have been blessed with many of these moments and my heart has slowly and steadily opened wider and wider because of them.
When insight and truth comes to me this way, I never forget it. I believe when a person discovers truth for themselves it lives in their knowing and presence. It is very different from reading about truth with one’s mind. I mention all this, because it doesn’t matter what I know. It matters what you know and discover yourself. I have witnessed, in coaching others for nearly two decades, this to be true. It is what clients bring forth from within themselves in the safety of our relationship that changes their lives.
Several years ago, I had a house with very large windows with a view of the Ramapo mountains. One day, after a prayerful morning, I entered one of the north facing rooms and as I did, I experienced an invisible curtain being drawn; I saw all life is interconnected. I perceived plants, grasses, trees, and people alive in streams of interconnected-ness. There was no separation. Nothing was separated; everything is one.
If you asked me about my work with others, like yourself, I will answer: I get out of the way. This is called many things, but I call it that. It is not about me, it is about the person who is has come asking and what comes through in our join-ness makes what occurs when I sit down with a person life affirming and life expanding.
